ICYMI: Brook Ence Is Hella Strong
There's just too much happening on social media these days. Luckily for you, we don't have anything else to do all day. Here are the biggest lifts (and other stuff too!) you missed recently.
Brook Ence is hella strong. How strong? Is an easy clean & jerk at 245 strong enough for you? She even makes the terrible error of stepping forward with her back foot while recovering from her jerk and still is able to save it. If only someone could tell her to fix that.
Alec Smith is on a tear. Between olynastics and a double bodyweight clean, he's got a whole range of stuff covered. But what about quadruple unders? Oh yea, he's got those too. Is there a special circus he studied at? What's in the water at the Smith household?
Jonne Koski is one of my favorite CrossFitters. Yes that's mainly because he's Mikko's protege but he's also fit and into doing real wild workouts like this one. A 500m swim, 2 mile run, half mile log carry, then 50 log over the shoulders is exactly the weird stuff that we'll see at the CrossFit Games and he's being really smart by practicing it now. Also there's something really zen about watching a shirtless dude in tights throw around a log with only the thumping sound of the log on the sand as a soundtrack.
