Austin, TX — FloElite, a Flocasts media company dedicated to 24/7 elite fitness content, is broadcasting this year’s the American Weightlifting Federation Grand Open on January 16th - 17th, 2015.

The American Weightlifting Federation (AWF) was started by Jon North as a non-profit meant to inspire more competitive opportunities in the sport of weightlifting in America. Their mission is “to help grow the sport of weightlifting, provide membership and competitions to all skill level of weightlifters, and build a community that encourages free expression on and off the platform."
This weekend's Grand Open will kick off the official commencement of his newly created weightlifting federation, and a portion of all proceeds will be donated to a charity of choice by each host, including: Caffeine & Kilos donating to Barbell for Boobs, Bless the Gym donating to JAG Ministries, The Attitude Nation donating to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Marlboro CrossFit donating to Autism Speaks.
"I'm very excited for the Grand Open," said Jon North. "From the host to the sponsors to the AWF board members to FloElite, I couldn't ask for a better crew to be teaming up with for the event. I can't wait to slam bars and kill PR's."
