The weekend has come and gone and we've got our Champions! Check it out:
Women's Super Team Champion:
The Surgettes consists of Brooke Wells, Lauren Herrera, and Kaleen Ladeairous and they had a very close race with second place. The scores were so close at the end of the weekend that the first tie breaker didn't resolve the issue: each team had the exact same finishes but in a different order.
The tie breaker was then decided to be the total time taken in all the events and that nod went in The Surgettes' favor by only about 30 seconds, meaning just a few seconds difference in each event is what decided this incredibly close race!
Men's Super Team Champion:
Team Bambi, made up of Noah Ohlsen, Jacob Heppner, and Nathan Bramblett was the clear favorite to win the whole thing from the beginning of the event and they did not disappoint. Eventually they won by over 100 points, meaning they didn't really need to participate in the last event to win it all anyway!
Pro Women's Champion:
Natalie Newhart took the Pro Women's Division with a dominant performance in pretty much every single event, finishing off the weekend with two incredible first place finishes.
And in case you were wondering what she did on Saturday since she qualified on Friday, she competed in and WON the Samson Games. Who needs a rest day when you're here to WIN!
Pro Men's Champion:
Zach Carlin won the Men's Pro Division in an equally dominant fashion. He recently competed at the Granite Games and finished in 7th, demonstrating just how badass he is. At the Crush Games, he finished in 1st with very strong performances including 2 event wins and 3 second place finishes. Keep an eye out for him to make a splash at Regionals this year!
