Pat Mendes Promotes North At AWF Lifting Expo

Jon North, Arnold Championship winner, Pat Mendes, US heavyweight 2011 and 2012 national champion, and Charlie Zamora, CEO of Caffeine and Kilos, threw down and competed head-to-head in lifts, purposed to promote the 2015 Grand Opening of the American Weightlifting Federation. Jon North, founder of the American Weightlifting Federation, held the expo to promote the 2015 AWF Grand Open, held in Las Vegas from January 16-18, 2014. The event kicked off the official commencement of his newly created weightlifting federation, encouraging free expression on and off the platform, and striving to revolutionize the sport of weightlifting. After snatching 174 kilos, beating North by 3 kgs, Mendes told us about the important role North has played in his continued passion for weightlifting.
