The women's leaderboard was shuffled after the Separator's combination of squats, burpees, and the much-anticipated ring handstand push ups.
Former Fittest Woman on Earth, Camille Leblanc-Bazinet separated herself from the pack in the second heat. With a consistent tempo she beat the time set by Alea Helmick in the first heat, and set the new time to beat of 14:28:70. "To be honest, the best thing about this whole CrossFit Games is you guys in the audience." She said after her win. While her time didn't stand the event win through the next two heats, she ended up taking eighth in the event, her highest event finish yet.
Kara Webb cruised through the squats and burpees in the final heat, but was halted to a stop when she reached the ring handstand push ups. She managed to complete one, and finished the event in 30th place, her lowest finish yet. Tia-Clair Toomey quickly passed up Kara Webb and held onto the lead up until the last couple of minutes. Katrin Davidsdottir caught up and edged her out. Davidsdottir and Toomey finished second and third respectively overall. Katrin Davidsdottir's finish moves her to the top of the leaderboard with Sara Sigmundsdottir 12 points behind her. Sam Briggs' 19th place finish moved her down to fourth place.
Kari Pearce took the event win with a time of 13:13:74.
"I want to be challenged. This is why I train." - Katrin Davidsdottir (when asked about what she's hoping to see in the next event)
