Olympic Champion Sa Jae Hyouk, 30, of South Korea has been suspended by the Korean Weightlifting Federation for 10 years after he beat up a younger South Korean weightlifter Hwang Woo Man, 21.
According to Sa Jae Hyouk, he met up with Hwang on New Years Eve in order to clear up a misunderstanding regarding the last time he "accidentally" hit Hwang Woo Man when things got out of hand. Hwang's injuries are severe enough to require six weeks of medical treatment.
Sa has apparently tried to visit Hwang in the hospital to apologize, but Hwang isn't ready to give Sa his blessing on transitioning to Olympic Boxing just yet.
