Workouts to Wedding Bells, Couple Marries at Crossfit Games
It's easy to criticize Dave Catro and the CrossFit Games when they made the decision to award the male and female winners of the 2016 Games a Glock. The decision came at a time when the issue of gun control reached a fever pitch.

But there's a reason why Castro has become a cult-like figure within the sport's community. He recognizes that the CrossFit diehards are unlike the people who join global gyms. They are cut from a different cloth and enjoy the camaraderie they find in the local box to drive them to perform better during workouts. Often times those relationships turn into something a bit more significant.

This was the case with the couple that married during this year's games.

Reebok and CrossFit held a contest for CrossFitters from around the United States to submit their love story for a chance to win an all-expenses paid wedding at the CrossFit Games. The games came to a halt as the lucky couple was joined by their friends and family on the field at the StubHub Center.

Castro led the service as the two exchanged vows.

It's refreshing to see that even in the heat of competition, the games are really about more than finding the fittest humans on earth.
