Tian Tao (CHN) Squats 300kg/661lb For Two, Clean & Jerks 225kg/497lb
China's Tian Tao (M85) squats 300kg/661lb for a double and clean & jerks 225kg/495lb, which is 5kg over the current clean & jerk world record.
Olympic silver medalist Tian Tao (M85, CHN) is an incredible athlete and weightlifter, and is known for being clutch. His performance at the 2016 Olympics is a perfect example of this. He only successfully hit two lifts: his last snatch attempt and his last clean & jerk attempt. Even with a hit and miss performance like that, he was able to earn a second place finish.
And now, here's some footage of him squatting 300kg/661lb for a double and hitting a 225kg clean & jerk, which is 5kg over the current clean & jerk world record:

We're not sure when this footage is from, but those squats and those jerks all look incredibly solid. If Tao shows up to the 2017 IWF World Championships with power and consistency like this, he has a shot at taking the World Record clean & jerk from Olympic Champion Kianoush Rostami.
