The third week of Granite Games qualifying workouts has been released, and you may want to take a deep breath before looking.

The 2018 Granite Games Online qualifier is almost complete — just one more workout stands between you and a spot at this fitness jewel in St. Cloud, Minnesota, this September 7-9. That’s the good news. The bad news, or just less good news if you’re a glass half-full type, is that Granite Games has a monster in store to wrap up qualifying with Workout 5 and 6.

For the ASRx crowd, the contenders will definitely separate from the pretenders in this doozy. Ring muscle-ups? You’ll do 24 of those. Deadlifts? Get ready for 48 total, with the weight increasing after each round. Oh, and make sure to save energy for Workout No. 6, as your legs are sure to get shredded by 300 double unders and 150 ft. of walking lunges.

Good luck out there. You’ll need it.

If you haven’t checked it out already, here’s a link to the leaderboard which has been updated through Workout No. 4. Reminder: the top 35 athletes on the leaderboard will be invited to participate in the individual pro competition. For the masters competitions, athletes must be in the top 10 in qualifying to earn a spot as an individual. Invitations will be released on July 6, July 8, and July 10 at noon each day.

We already looked at some ring up action last week in a throwback to the 2016 Granite Games, so let’s go back to 2015 and see how the pros navigated the double unders (plus squats) from that year’s Event 1.
